Carl and Mari met through family who they have both known for most of their lives. Their first date was somewhat of a blind date at Kona Grill in Gilbert and Carl thought Mari was pretty hot although all he saw was the top half of her face because of her ninja covid mask. Upon taking it off he saw her full beauty and proceeded to move beside her during the meal instead of across of her at the booth. A true playa move…they proceeded to get jiggy with it, and the rest as they say, is history!
