It’s a tale as old as time, really. Or at least as old as dating apps have been around. Boy meets boy on Tinder. Boys engage in conversation for months without meeting face-to-face and eventually the messages end. Boy meets boy AGAIN on OkCupid and pick up right where they left off, chatting endlessly about their shared interests until, for a second time, the conversation stops. However, months later, the stars align and the boys match for a third time. This time, as they say, was the charm.

While Kristopher had grand plans of popping the question during a European vacation in 2020, a worldwide pandemic had other plans. So instead, he "inceptioned" Carl (with the help of Carl's sister, Lora) to create a slideshow documenting all of the many ways that his family has remained connected to one another through lockdown – all culminating with a surprise ending that even Carl couldn't see coming.
