We met in 2014 at IPIC Theater, and we have been together ever since. We have built a strong and loving relationship over the years and are excited to take the next step in our journey together. We share a passion for travel, food, and spending time with family and friends. His Story Carl had heard about a new girl named Annette but had not formally met her. The first time Carl had laid eyes on her was when she was taking the escalator to a lower lever. He automatically asked his coworker, "Who was that?" Coworker replied, “Oh, that’s the new girl Annette. I think she got a dude, though, because she got a ring.” Carl wanted to talk to her to find out more about her possible "situation" she was in because he thought she was cute. A week or two had passed, and he hadn't seen her at work until he was leaving work after working a morning shift. Annette was chatting with some coworkers by guest services. One of the coworkers would always ask him if she could drive his car. Side note: Everyone knows that he would never let anybody drive his Camaro, aka Honey Cocaine! He told her, "Not today, maybe tomorrow," as he was leaving the theater. Annette jumped in and asked, "What do you drive?" and the coworker said a Camaro. He left right after but he knew that next time he talked to her he was going to ask her out. Her Story Annette was chatting with some coworkers one day at IPIC Theater. One of the coworkers asked Carl, who was walking by, to drive his car. She had never met Carl before, but her interest instantly peaked and asked Carl, "What do you drive?" The coworker said that he drove a Camaro and Annette mentioned that she really likes Camaros. The conversation ended there and they went their separate ways. The next time Annette had a chance to talk with Carl, he invited Annette to his birthday party. Annette accepted and was excited to see how the night would go. At the party, Annette stayed by Carl's side while he REALLY celebrated. She made sure that he made it home safely and after that night, Annette wasn’t sure if she wanted to go out again with him. Fortunately, Carl called to apologize and asked her out to make it up to her. Annette really appreciated the gestures and said yes. They ended up watching Mind Hunters (a thriller) and never stopped seeing each other since. The rest was history. The Proposal On February 14, 2023, Valentine's Day, Carl surprised Annette with red roses and food from Boiling Crab (Annette’s favorite). After eating, they headed to the Sherman Oaks Galleria to watch a suspense thriller movie (their favorite genre). Over the years, they have had many special dates at this location. After the movie, Carl told Annette that they were going to IPIC Theater's bar to get drinks. Annette was wondering why they were going there to grab a drink when Carl can make better drinks and it was past both their bed time. Unknown to Annette, Carl brought them to where it all started. To her surprise, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, and of course, Annette said yes! It was a special moment that they will cherish forever.
