We eloped!

Carla & Patrick met in August of 2020 in an outdoor volleyball league in Raleigh, North Carolina. They got placed on the same team and had a connection the very first night. They started dating in November of 2020 and the rest is history! Patrick worked as an aircraft technician at RDU and traveled for work often. Due to COVID, Carla worked remotely and was able to travel with Patrick to his various work destinations. They visited Iowa, Minnesota, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Arizona, Nevada and spent a lot of time in the Blue Ridge Mountains and at Topsail Island in North Carolina. In June 2021, Carla & Patrick were daydreaming and drinking coffee on the porch and Carla jokingly said "I wonder if Hawaiian Airlines has any job openings?" Sure enough there was and Patrick applied immediately. Within a month, Patrick accepted a full-time position and moved to Hawaii. Carla traveled back and forth and finally moved to Hawaii in November 2021. Carla now works full-time for a Custom Home Builder on island. Patrick proposed on Christmas Eve at sunrise on Waimanalo Beach, their favorite beach on the island. Of course, Carla said yes! Patrick and Carla made the decision to elope in Hawaii and it was the PERFECT day. they can't wait to celebrate with their families when they come to visit in July!
