Where the desert meets the Nile, our forever begins

Our story begins in a place that feels destined — church. The first time we saw each other was there, though we didn’t speak. It wasn’t until a youth conference in Heidelberg that we finally had a conversation — a simple exchange that would quietly change everything. Life took us in different directions, yet small messages and shared laughs slowly brought us closer. One day, we planned to meet in Stuttgart. Everyone else canceled, leaving just the two of us — and that’s when everything changed. Amid laughter, conversation, and connection, we realized we’d found something rare and real. From that evening on, our story kept unfolding with love, laughter, and faith guiding every step. And then, at the end of June 2024, on a beach in Italy, he completely took me by surprise — with the most beautiful setup and a heartfelt proposal that marked the beginning of our forever. Today, standing here, we celebrate that moment and every one since, knowing that this is just the start of the greatest journey of our lives. “So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore, what God has joined together, let man not separate.” (Matthew 19:6)
