Carla went to high school and varsity with Lisa and became best friends with her. Lucienne is Lisa's brother. Lisa introduced us to each other. Fast forward a few years of mutual friendship, add in Lisa's 23rd birthday party, tacos, a tequila or two and the rest is history! 😜

Lucienne suggested we celebrate the end of a hard, pandemic stricken year by going out for lunch in the winelands. Upon returning home, he said he had a surprise set up for me. I was blind folded and led into the house. As I walked in, I could hear our favorite song playing in the background and see rose petals on the ground so I knew something major was coming. As I took off my eye mask, I saw the words in foiled balloons spell out "Marry Me?". With our families watching in the background, Mr Max (my fur-st born) confidently ran towards Lu with the ring tied around his neck. Lu bent down on one knee, asked me to marry him and I said YES!
