We kindly ask you to RSVP no later than January 31st.
Unless your RSVP states otherwise we kindly ask you not to bring a date. We are having an intimate wedding with family and close friends only.
Yes, we have listed a few hotels on the website. If you have any other questions regarding your travels let us know.
We love your children, but we decided to make our wedding a kid free event and would love for you to enjoy a night out. Thank you for understanding!
Yes, we are having a Polterabend on May 1st. Polterabend is a German wedding custom in which the guests break porcelain to bring luck to the couple's marriage. The belief in the effectiveness of this custom is expressed by the old adage: "Shards bring luck" (German: Scherben bringen Glück). It's a very informal event and the "rule" is that everyone that knows the time and place is welcome to the party but it's a fun way to start the wedding celebrations.
Yes! Please let us know ahead of time if you have any food allergies so we can make sure to inform our caterers.
There is parking for both ceremony and reception. The ceremony parking is free on the weekends and the reception has paid parking. A day ticket for the reception parking is 2€.
The ceremony will start at 3 pm. There is free parking at the upper entrance of the park but it is a short walk down to the chapel so in order to have a stress free arrival we would recommend arriving around 2:30. Our ceremony takes place in a park so even if you have a few minutes to spare feel free to roam around before the wedding.
No, our weddding ceremony will take place in the Weidenkirche, Kaiserslautern and our reception is held at the Brauhaus an der Gartenschau, also in Kaiserslautern. The drive from the ceremony to the reception venue is about 5 mins. The chapel is located inside a bigger park and the reception space is located at the main entrance. So you could also use the break between ceremony and reception to walk down to the Brauhaus. Feel free to ask us if you have any questions about how to get around. Follow this link to see a park map. Our ceremony is number 30 and our reception is number 5. https://www.gartenschau-kl.de/info-service/parkplan/
We are not providing transportation but there are a few hotels in walking distance from the reception space. So if you want to use the little break between ceremony and reception you can park your car at the hotel and walk back to the reception.
Casual wedding attire is preferred but ultimately we want you to be comfortable so please come as you are.
We will update the wedding timeline once we get closer to the actual wedding day. The ceremony will start at 3 pm.
We are currently still working on our registry but we will share the link on our website when it's ready.
Getting a rental car will make it easier to attend the events but it is not required. The Polterabend will be in the countryside which does not have good public transport connections. If you plan on attending the Polterabend without a rental car please contact us for more information on how to get there.
