We are two completely different people. We drive each other up the walls but in the end, someone is the coffee maker and the other one the spider catcher. It is a yin-yang sort of thing. We love to dislike things together, love to be judgy together and also be apart, together. To us, we make sense. So, after 10 years, we have decided to get the damn piece of paper because, in the end, it does matter. And, if ever we would have a photographer follow us, we both still had to sort of look good enough to want to see those photos 20 years from now. We would love for you to buy into our quirkiness and join the madness of us publicly saying I DO in what was meant to be 'easier than a formal wedding' on the other side of the world. It will be chaotic, but you know us well enough to know that we will accept the punches, make croutons out of the failed bread and have a great soundtrack to help us drown out the kinks that didn't turn out sexy but instead, awkward...

Our favorite thing in the world is to go away for weekends with our friends where our time is spent cooking, braaing and lounging while drinking copious amounts of wine. We want to recreate this which means, no formal event, no isle and no formalities but instead, spending time together all gussied up. We decided to do all of this in Portugal because of the scenery, the culture, the food and the hope to get to travel a bit with some of our favorite people. We understand the implications of having a destination wedding and that it simply won't be possible for everyone to join. Therefor we have a preliminary RSVP as a serious show of interest to join after which a more formal plan will follow needing the final yay or nay.
