Yes, there is plenty of free parking right at the venue with two dedicated lots! If those happen to be full, there is some free street parking.
Definitely! There will be a lot of children there of all ages, including of course our sweet 3-year-old Ava. We will have some lawn games to keep kids (and adults!) occupied. Part of the reason we chose to do a daytime wedding is to better accommodate for sleeping schedules of families with children.
Kids will be served the same menu as adults by default, just a smaller portion. When you RSVP, please let us know which dish your child would like, or if they are under 2, whether they will require a meal.
Appetizers will be passed during the cocktail hour around 12:30 - 1:30, and lunch will be served right after that.
The pre-wedding mixer will be outdoors or semi-outdoors. The wedding ceremony is outdoors on a lawn area, and lunch and the reception with dancing will be indoors. The brunch will be indoors though you are welcome to stay outside on the large patio area with firepit. If you would like to request a lunch table by the outdoor space, please let us know and we'll try to accommodate your preference in the seating chart.
We decided not to pick favorites with friends and family - and keep it simple with not having to buy any special clothing - and forgo people standing with us during the ceremony. We are very happy though to have Carla's cousin Lissa as the Officiant and Maid of Honor, and Greg's two brothers visiting from France as the best men.
Yes, in addition to a mixer the day before and a brunch the day after the wedding, we may organize a mellow hike at some point. Stay tuned!
While summers in the Bay Area Peninsula are quite warm, coastal Half Moon Bay weather is hit or miss. Since it's known for foggy mornings that burn off, it's likely that that it will be a bit chilly during the ceremony, and potentially throughout the day. Prepare to bring something warm, just in case. The weather there can change unexpectedly.
