What should I wear?

Answer

Dressy attire encouraged, but there’s no strict dress code. Some guests may choose cocktail attire, suits, or even black tie-inspired looks (yes, tuxes are welcome!), while others may opt for something a bit more relaxed and polished. Whether you love an excuse to get dressed up or prefer to keep things simple, we simply ask that you wear something nice, comfortable, and celebratory; we want everyone to feel like themselves and enjoy the evening with us.

Where should I park for the reception? Can I walk?

Answer

There's plenty of free, on-site parking at the venue, as well as all over downtown Houghton. Depending on where you staying, walking distance to the venue can be relatively short: - Hampton Inn: less than .2 miles - Quality Inn: .3 miles - Ramada Inn (Hancock): .75 miles Lastly, we will have a handful of designated drivers that can provide transportation, making sure you get to or from our celebration safely (including if you join us post-reception at the B&B!). If you know you'll be interested in having a DD, contact Amber or Carl.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

If a plus-one has been reserved for you, it will be listed as part of your invitation/RSVP. We’re unfortunately unable to accommodate additional guests beyond those listed. If you do not have a plus-one listed and you believe this is an error, contact Amber or Carl.

Is the reception indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Indoors. Located on the Portage Canal, our venue (on the second floor of the Dee Stadium, downtown Houghton) has beautiful views of the Portage Lift Bridge and Mont Ripley. Rain or shine, we will have a blast celebrating inside.
