We met in spring of 2018 in a Clifton Park GameStop while Michael was working. We hit it off and became friends for about a year before Michael asked me out on a date. We spent the remainder of 2019 in each other's company, playing video games and exploring life together. Michael and I spent the next several years navigating a relationship through a global pandemic, moving in together (and made our way through a few chaotic apartments), and adopting our two cats that we love dearly, Alvina and Willow. In May of 2025, we finally had decided to take our dream trip to Lake Como, Italy; I had always wanted to visit Villa Del Balbianello, which was the location where they filmed several scenes in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, including where Anakin and Padme get married. After an 8-hour flight from Newark, NJ to Milan, Italy, a few confusing train rides, getting completely lost in a foreign country and hopping into a random cab to get to the Villa, we just barely made our reservation time for our tour. During the tour, Michael sought out a quiet, private spot away from the crowds and asked me to marry him. Through some excitedly colorful words and an astounding "Yes!" we then got to spend our first international adventure as an engaged couple, filling our bellies with the finest wines and carbs that Northern Italy had to offer. We now cannot wait to celebrate with our friends and family as we tie the knot and mark the start of forever together.
