Our story starts like any other love story by me, yes me sliding into his Instagram Dms. Okay, I know that sounds silly but I actually reacted to one of his stories and sent him a clappy hand emoji. We started talking and bonded over long standing family traditions, the sound of metal cleats on pavement and tacos. He was easy to talk to and our conversations never felt forced. We went on our first date at Doce where we ate tacos and talked until an employee came out and told us to leave! We continued to talk for several weeks and when he came back from his vacation in 2020, he brought me back seashells and asked me to be his girlfriend. We've been traveling, talking, and spending time with our families ever since! Towards the end of the 2025 school year he began hinting at having my ring in his bag, I of course didn't believe him. The school year ended and we were headed to Dayton, OH to visit an airplane museum with my family, and low and behold he had the ring in his bag all along. He asked me to marry him right in his parents living room, which was the most us thing I could have every dreamed of. Of course I said yes and our love story continues!
