We met a few years ago but didn't really think much of it. Then in the Fall of 2016, we were both at a TCU game and caught each other's eye. Fast forward a few months to February 2017, when we finally went on our first date...to brunch. Carissa wasn't entirely sure if it was really a date, so it ended with a short hug and a goodbye. A few weeks later, we went out for a second date and that’s pretty much when we thought, “Okay. This could be something.”

We "coincidentally" were having dinner at the same restaurant as our first date, and were even seated at the same table. Jason took the opportunity to make the most of that special moment and surprised Carissa with the most beautiful ring. He had actually designed the ring with a diamond from his grandmother and enlisted help from many friends while keeping everything a surprise. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Fort Worth!
