FAQs & Covid Info

If you have any additional questions that we didn't cover here, you can email us at carinorawlinsonwedding@gmail.com.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 18th.

Question

What about the Covid of it all?

Answer

In an effort to keep all of our guests safe, we are asking everyone to stay up-to-date on their covid vaccination and/or take a covid test within 48 hours of the event. Please do not come if you are feeling unwell - we will save some cookies from the cookie table for you!

Question

But WHAT should I WEAR? (said in your best Grinch voice)

Answer

The welcome party and day-after brunch are super casual, no special dress code required. For the day of the ceremony, let's call it Semi Formal. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. But hey, if that's not your style, then that's cool too - wear whatever makes you feel fabulous! We will be outside for the ceremony, so please keep that in mind when choosing your footwear.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please check your invitation for the total number of people included in your party. We need to give our venue a prior heads-up of how many meals they should prepare, so please do not bring your entire neighborhood (lookin at you, Uncle Mike). If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at carinorawlinsonwedding@gmail.com.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Please check your invitation for the total number of people included in your party. We love kids, but please note that we will have an open bar at the reception. If you aren't comfortable with your kids being in an environment with a lot of alcohol (or if you want a kid-less date night), then we'll let you make that call.

Question

What's the parking situation?

Answer

For the ceremony, Schenley Park has ample free street parking, and the pavilion has a lot that can hold about 20 cars. Some spaces will be reserved for our guests with mobility needs. For the reception, Station Square has street parking (free after 6pm), a metered lot, and a parking garage within a few blocks of the Grand Concourse. The Grand Concourse will also comp 2 hours of garage parking. Please take your parking ticket to the front desk for validation. For Sunday brunch, we strongly recommend carpooling. There is limited free street parking on Reserve Street. If this street is full, you can also park on Stanton Avenue or Karen Drive.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! There will be a 28-person shuttle making 2 rounds between the Sheraton and Schenley Park, both before and after the ceremony. We ask that you please use the shuttle's sign-in sheet in the hotel lobby, so that our driver can plan accordingly and make sure everyone gets to where they need to go.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! When you RSVP, there is an option to leave a note regarding dietary restrictions. If you need something that we didn't cover in our RSVP, please reach out to us at carinorawlinsonwedding@gmail.com. We gotchu.

Question

There's a gap of time between the ceremony and reception. What's up with that?

Answer

We want to invite ease into the day wherever possible. We realize that traffic might be heavier this weekend due to Pitt's homecoming weekend, so want to allow ample travel and regrouping time for everyone. While the wedding party is taking photos, you can hang out in the park, head back to the hotel for a nap, or do whatever you want. Then we'll meet you all at the Gandy Dancer for cocktail hour at 6pm.
