Garfield Park Conservatory
One of our favorite spots to warm up on a cold day. It's closer to where we live, so not as close to downtown, but worth the trek! (About a 15 min uber from downtown). If you end up heading west we recommend you grab lunch or dinner at our favorite neighborhood spot, BoeufHaus. They have the best lunch special in town. Dinner is also amazing.
The Green Mill
Small jazz bar with a ton of history. A bit off the beaten path but totally worth it!
Cindy's
Beautiful rooftop bar at the top of the historic Chicago Athletic Club. Great view of the city! This is where we first met!
The Comedy Bar
Great spot for stand-up! Grab some famous Chicago deep dish pizza on the first floor before the show.
Museum Of Contemporary Art Chicago
Carin's favorite museum! Very close to the Aloft Mag Mile Hotel.
Adler Planetarium
The Second City
A great spot for sketch comedy!

Great spot for the blues!
Millennium Park
You can't visit Chicago without seeing the famous bean! Bundle up for this one since it's outside. After you visit the bean wander over to Maggie Dailey Park if the weather is clever.
Zanies Comedy Night Club
More traditional stand-up comedy club in Old Town that has hosted many of the greatest comedians.
Jazz Showcase
This is a spot for the serious jazz connoisseur. Carin's dad loves this place!
The Field Museum
You gotta say hey! to Sue, at Chicago's Natural History Museum. She is the largest T Rex discovered!
Lagunitas Brewing Company Chicago
Great brewery on the south side! Jordan visited this brewery on his first trip to Chicago and he loved it. If you end up there you may as well check out some other south side spots like Maria's Packaged Goods, Hai Sous, and China Town.
Moody Tongue Brewing Company
Great beer and they just opened up a new spot with a killer chef. If you are feeling fancy, try the 10 course tasting menu with beer pairing. Oh, and you have try the chocolate cake! Carin almost insisted that we have it as our wedding cake.
Off Color Brewing Taproom The Mousetrap

Duck Duck Goat
Carin and Jordan's favorite brunch spot! It's dim sum--you gotta try the soup dumplings!
Little Goat Diner
Check out Top chef winner Stephanie Izzard's diner concept. This is a great spot for brunch, but make sure you make a reservation.
Dove's Luncheonette
Great spot in Wicker Park for eating any time of the day. This neighborhood is great for shopping, drinking, and eating so get a bite to eat and then explore this fun area!
