As many of you know, Beth and Carin both have careers in Social Work. Carin's work brought her to the Courthouse, where Beth works, from time to time. Carin caught Beth's eye in spring 2024, and after a playful office-adjacent crush developed over the summer, Carin got up the courage to ask Beth to go on a walk. Their first date took place in the majestical, alpine basin where they would eventually exchange their vows a year later. Thanks to Carin, the date was planned very well and went SO well that it ultimately lasted 16+ hours. They say "you know when you know", and it didn't take the whole 16 hours of that first date to know; this was special. This would be the last time either of them had a first date. The past year has been filled with trips to the ocean, desert and the mountains on dirt roads, rafts and skis with a really cute dog by their side. There were many things to be celebrated in the Cleveland family in 2024 which created a unique opportunity for Beth to get thrown right in. This also meant cherished moments where Beth and Carin got to share their love for each other with their family and friends, near and far. In August, during a wonderful family beach vacation with Carin's (now Beth's) family, the two decided to make this thing official and get the government involved. A mere 6 weeks later, in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, they celebrated and cemented their commitment to each other on a truly perfect day surrounded by few close friends and family.
