It was a family's effort, as Ryan's whole family and Carina's sister and brother in law were involved in this surprise proposal. Carina thought they were going out for a fancy dinner with Ryan's family. Ryan even had to ask Carina to change out of her teddy bear cardigan, as he knew she would be very upset if she got engaged in that outfit. On the way to the proposal site, Ryan was frantically texting Carina's sister, telling her what time they would arrive. Ryan brought Carina to the perfect spot, Ryan made a long speech, went down on one knee and asked if he could make him the happiest man alive by agreeing to marry him.
