Our golden hour fall-themed wedding calls for semi-formal attire with a touch of gold. For Men: Wear suits with ties and consider adding gold-toned accessories, like a pocket square or cufflinks. For Women: Choose an outfit where gold is the primary color or a prominent feature. Feel free to add gold jewelry or gold-accented shoes for extra flair. Think of gold in the hues of a sunrise. You can’t go wrong with classic gold, but other beautiful shades include champagne gold, rose gold, amber, aspen gold, goldenrod, or honey gold. Avoid colors that are too pale (like light champagne) or too dark (like rust). Fabrics like matte, satin, velvet, or sheer all work beautifully. For inspiration, check out https://creativebooster.net/blogs/colors/shades-of-gold-color. This will be a group themed dress code. We kindly ask all guests, including children, to embrace the theme. Feel free to reach out to Carina & Darren if you're unsure.
From our planning, we expect 7 out of our 30 guests to be ages 0-6 yrs old. We will be making accommodations to ensure you and your little ones will be comfortable.
We understand if there are shifts in your party numbers. We ask for a rough estimate early on to help with planning and reservations. We can take changes all the way up until two weeks prior to our wedding date. We just ask that you contact us to make changes.
We recommend a quick google weather search when it gets closer to November. However, one year out a google search shows temperatures to be 50-68 degrees sunny and clear. Keep in mind we plan to stay in cabins of Idyllwild which is 5,000 feet in elevation. The ceremony will be held outside in the woods and the reception will be on a mountain peak at 9,000 feet elevation (reception dinner will be inside). We recommend a light jacket and or a sweatshirt for your time here. It will be cold in the mornings and evenings. During the day, temperatures will feel warm in the sun. However, it will not be your typical sunny San Diego weather.
We are happy to enjoy time with our guests if you would like to meet prior to or after the event, but you will need to provide your own accommodations. As soon as we receive everyone's arrival/departure dates, we will coordinate plans.
Let's start with providing you the address, Woodland Park Manor 55350 S Circle Dr, Idyllwild-Pine Cove, CA 92549. Upon arrival, you will want to stop at the front desk (first building immediately as you enter the property) for your key assignement, so you can then settle down into your room after your extensive travel. Darren and Carina will be onsite to greet you :)
