If you are looking for a bit of sanity, there are many local preserves you can sit or hike for a bit to cool off. Especially in January. The Trust buys land to avoid major development.

Natural Lands' Stroud Preserve

Awesome breakfast and lunch. Jim and Denise might be there!

The Classic Diner

Amazing sourdough bread, desserts, treats, amazing everything bagels, coffee, etc. super cute, get the morning bun or the focaccia (Maria's favorite), it's take out only!

Brandywine Valley Bread

Our usual breakfast spot with the boys. I def recommend the Telly (it also kills hangovers)

Green Street Grill

They don't have a website. It's Downingtown's dive bar. There is a nice crowd there and if you are looking to tie one on for about $12, it's your spot. You will probably see your ex.

Maria loves this place and spends many lunch hours here.
