Recommendations for our out of town guests (transportation, where to stay, WhatsApp groups)

Getting from the airport

There is no need to get a car the entire time you are in Italy - in fact it may make things more difficult for you if you want to visit city centre. Here are our recommendations: 1. Tram If you're staying "inside the walls", there is a tram at the airport that leads straight to Bologna Centrale (chin-tral-eh). If you're staying in the southern part of the city (within the walls) just know that this is about a 30-40 min walk 2. Taxi (easiest option) There is a Taxi queue directly outside of the Bologna airport that can take you anywhere inside the zone picture I shared for €20-25 euro. Everywhere takes card so no need to pull out cash

Travel Note

Where to stay

Air BnB is probably your best bet in Bologna although, there are of course some reputable hotels around, but read reviews. ;) We recommend staying within the orange area in the picture above. (It's a more historical area and very walkable!)

Travel Note

Getting to the venue

If you stay in the zones indicated on the map, a taxi to and from our wedding reception venue is 5-10 min and should cost around 15 by taxi. The address is Via San Mamolo, 105/5, 40136 Bologna BO

Getting around

Most places are walkable within the city, but for traveling to the reception and for bigger adventures we recommend: Movi Bike - This is an e-bike service operating all over Bologna. If you feel comfortable on a bike, this is my favorite way to get around B Taxi - Easy, one click, taxi service - definitely get the app Of you're having any issues with B taxi, you can also try ItTaxi. Bus - the bus's are very easy and nice in Bologna, but much like the Italians, not always on time. <3 If you plan to visit another city while you are here, there is no better option than train travel.
