June 2022- Cariana, fresh out of high school and working at the local Upik farm, wasn't looking for a relationship-- just enjoying her summer before college. Jordan, working for Buffalo Rock, had a young son and wasn't seeking a girlfriend either. At a wedding in June, Cariana almost skipped it after a long day at work. She reluctantly dressed casually, while Jordan was there as a friend of the groom. Cariana didn't notice Jordan all night until he tried sparking a conversation. It was brief, and she didn't think much of it. Later, as she stood by herself, Jordan accidentally stepped on her toe, but still, no real exchange. It wasn't until a family member called her name that Jordan seized the chance to ask, "What did she call you?" in hopes to catch what her name was. After a short reply, Cariana went home, but his question stayed with her. The next morning, Jordan messaged her on Instagram, apologizing for stepping on her foot and joking about making it up to her. Despite playing hard to get, Cariana replied, "I'll have to check my calendar." Jordan's persistence paid off, and by the following Friday, they officially met at an IBC concert and Saturday, went on their first date to Shoguns.
