Nestled along the waterfront, Georgetown is the third-oldest city in the state and is full of Southern charm, rich history, and beautiful scenery. You’ll find incredible, locally owned spots like Monkee’s of Georgetown(One of Carey's favorites!), Black Mingo (Thomas's favorite), Salty and Cypress, and Sara & Beth Gifts, packed with charming southern styles, home decor, and unique coastal treasures. ~10 minutes from the gate of Debordieu
Thomas’s absolute favorite! This breezy, open-air waterfront bar is tucked behind the hotel right on the marina. Drop by for amazing dockside cocktails, local brews, light bites, and unbeatable bay views by the fire pit!
If you have some free time, here are two of our favorite beach walks: Beach Club to Pawleys Island: Start at the DeBordieu Beach Club and head north toward Pawleys Island. This walk is approximately 1 mile each way and is perfect for enjoying the beautiful shoreline. Beach Marker 9 to the North Inlet: For a longer walk, start at Beach Marker 9 and continue north to the end of the island. This route is approximately 2.5 miles each way and offers beautiful views of the inlet where the ocean meets the marsh—a unique spot to experience both sides of DeBordieu's natural beauty.
