Before Carey or Jaclyn swiped right on Tinder in September 2020, they met in photography class at John H. Glenn high school. Seated next to each other in 2009, the two never knew in 11 years they would reconnect and fall in love. By "reconnect", they stumbled upon each other on a dating app, Tinder, a modern day romance. The two hit it off immediately, reestablishing their Elwood roots. Soon their conversations went from sentences to paragraphs that could be described as excessive novels. The two had planned to meet up for a date of bowling and dinner in Astoria. After their first date, they both knew they had found someone special and even a pandemic wouldn't keep them apart. Fast forward to November 2023, Carey proposed to Jaclyn at Del Vino Vineyard with day full of surprises, love, and family. The future Mr. and Mrs. Bubeck cannot wait to celebrate the next chapter of their love story!
