Yes, we require semi-formal attire. Tuxes and evening gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Please no t-shirts, shorts, jeans/denim, flip-flops, sneakers, or revealing attire. For women, please avoid wearing an outfit that's too bridal-like. The bridesmaids will be wearing a dusty blue dress. It’s customary for wedding guests to avoid white and red as those are reserved for the bride & family.
Yes, during normal park hours. After 7:30pm there will be no re-entry. If you plan to visit the park and leave to get ready for event, make sure to get your hand stamped at the park exit.
Due to the capacity restrictions of the ceremony venue, we unfortunately will not have the space to fit everybody that we want. Please join us to celebrate during the banquet.
We would recommend flying out no later than April 24th, 2025 if you're flying from US. Please keep in mind that Hong Kong is 15-16 hours (depending on Daylight Savings) ahead of Pacific Time Zone. This means that if you fly on April 24th, 2025 from the West Coast, you may arrive in Hong Kong on April 26th, 2025 - one day before the wedding.
It'll be warm and humid in Hong Kong in April. The daily average in April is 24 degrees Celsius minimum to 28 degrees Celsius highest (or 75f-82f). It may also be approaching rain season at that time so please bring an umbrella and waterproof shoes with you. We would highly recommend double checking the weather forecast before packing and flying to Hong Kong.
The entire wedding will be indoors inside the Grand Aquarium.
The Marriott Ocean Park is the most convenient hotel for Ocean Park. It is right next to the entrance of Ocean Park and is only a 3-5 minute walk to the Grand Aquarium. It's also just one MTR stop away from Admiralty station, where you can easily interchange to the Island, Kowloon, and East Rail line.
Unfortunately no, hotel blocks aren't a common practice for hotels in Hong Kong. We recommend comparing prices and booking with third party sites like Agoda, Expedia, Booking.com etc yourself.
By MTR (train): Ocean Park Station By Taxi, Uber: Ocean Park By Bus: There are many bus routes that can get you to Ocean Park, please refer to Ocean Park's "How to Get There" page on their website for more details.
Yes, Ocean Park has provided 15 free parking spots to us. Please let us know in advance if you need a parking spot. Also, please do not drive if you intend to drink at our wedding.
Your invitation will specify how many seats we have reserved for you. We will unfortunately not be able to accommodate additional guests as we need to coordinate admission with Ocean Park
Food will be provided buffet style. We'll do our best to provide a variety of options to fit everybody's needs.
While not an official event, we highly recommend all guests to explore Ocean Park on the day of the wedding.
