With both of us being in medicine, we have much less control over the logitistics of our relationship. Jess will be finishing school this year and Ian will be continuing in his surgical training in Dallas. Our next steps will be largely determined by a computer algorithm that neither of us have control over. Regardless of how our next steps turn out, we appreciate your love and support today as we join our families together.
The dress code is cocktail to black tie optional. This means that tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are cocktail dresses and suits! No jeans, please!
Invitations addressed to "The ____ Family" include members of your immediate family. This includes spouses and their children. We are unable to accommodate plus ones for everyone at our wedding unless specifically indicated on your envelope. We appreciate your understanding!
We will be having an "unplugged" ceremony, meaning we would greatly appreciate it if you put away your cell phones and electronics during the ceremony. We’ve hired a fantastic photographer to capture how this moment looks with their camera, so you can sit back and be present with us in this moment. All photos will be shared after the wedding!
We DO NOT want anyone drinking and driving. We will provide transportation back to the hotel.
Nope! For the ceremony, sit wherever you please. However, we will be carefully arranging tables so our guests are sat with those they know (or their partners). We know weddings are a mixing pot of guests who may not know one another, and we want to ease any anxieties for guests who may be a bit more introverted. Hopefully, this can put some of you at ease!
