We can't remember the details of our first meeting, because we were still in diapers. We have been fortunate to know each other our whole lives. Our parents were friends before we were born! We spent the early years having play dates, attending each other's birthday parties, and going on adventures to the Herr's Potato Chip Factory. Our academics and early career paths sent us in different directions, but our paths crossed again in 2020. Andrew happened to be visiting home for a few days and we decided to grab a beer and catch up on the past few years. "A beer" turned into several beers and we talked for hours, realizing that there was something more than friendship here.

Our Saturdays typically consist of a hike with our dog Domino. We went to our usual spot to throw the ball for him when Andrew suddenly found a turtle! Katherine came running over to see, but quickly learned that there was no turtle. After a moment of disappointment, she realized there was something much more exciting waiting for her. Andrew proposed in a beautiful & meaningful place. We were able to celebrate with our families and friends who live nearby. It was the perfect day.
