We met at Centennial Park and talked for hours on a walk and in the car. It started with us messaging each other and then after a couple weeks of texting we decided to plan a day to hang out. Our options were very limited because of COVID so we decided to meet up at Centennial Park. We had many park dates where we would sit in the car, drink black cherry White Claws, and talk for hours until the park closed. It was the beginning of the pandemic but little did we know it was also the beginning of our love story.
On our vacation to Cancun, AJ decided he wanted to plan a romantic dinner on the beach for us. It was a beautiful dinner with amazing views of the ocean. Once dinner was over, it was time for dessert and the waiter brought over a covered tray. When AJ uncovered it I saw a red ring box surrounded by chocolate covered strawberries. AJ opened the box, walked around the table, got down on one knee, and asked me "Will you make me the luckiest man in the world and marry me?" With tears rolling down my cheeks I said the fastest "yes" I have ever said.
