When Jackie decided to get a part-time job at UPS she wasn't expecting to meet the love of her life, and she certainly didn't expect that guy to be the cat calling her from across the room. When Jeremy noticed Jackie at work he knew he needed any excuse to talk to her, he didn’t even realize he’d been cat-calling her. One day he came to her and said he liked her crocheted beanie and asked if she made it herself. She said yes, so he asked her to make him one in UK blue to which she replied heck no, L1C4 baby! So they settled on something neutral and he gave her his number so she could "update him" on the progress. She embarrassed him in front of everyone by yelling after him "Oh so I got the digits?!" and the rest was, as they say, history. They officially started dating on his 24th birthday and 13 years later and she hasn't given him that beanie.
Jackie and Jeremy had been together longer than common law marriage and talked about everything under the sun, so Jeremy knew she would not be impressed with a proposal on a holiday or birthday or other special occasion. She had always told him she felt that if everyday of the rest of their life was going to be special then there's no need to use the momentum of another special occasion to propose, that true love is even more special on a Tuesday. Jeremy had been plotting for a long time, he knew she didn't care for diamonds, so he got her a moissanite ring and had it engraved on the inside with 'My Only'. He got to work planning a cookout at their house with family so he could propose with them there, little did he know Jackie had planned a paint night with her cousins that same day and when they found out what the other was doing he agreed to cancel his BBQ, so Jackie had ruined the proposal without realizing it! It was all good though because Jeremy adjusted. Saturday morning when they were easing awake Jeremy got up first and Jackie thought he was just getting his day started so she closed her eyes again but a few minutes later Jeremy was on his knees next to the bed talking to her, he told her how much he loved her and how grateful he was to have her in his life (imagine more mushy stuff here). Then he said would you make me the happiest man ever and marry me? She cried and kissed him and forgot to say yes right away, but obviously said yes!
