Chantae is the older sister of the bride and has always kept her safe and tried to tackle anyone that tries to hurt her little sister. She is strong like their mom was and she will forever be in her corner fighting for her. Nicara is just grateful that she likes Mel and that she doesn’t have to pick up the gloves to fight him.

Matron of Honor
Chelsi and the bride are old college friends from Texas A&M University, and Chelsi was one the bride’s first friends in college in 2007. Although, they lost track on how they eventually met on campus (I think it was a organization meeting or maybe it was the library...who knows 🤔), they became fast friends and started getting in all kinds of mishaps. They were in separable...until that dark day before Nicara’s Senior year, Chelsi transferred to another university and gave Nicara her pet fish to look after. Although the fish died a week later, Chelsi and Cara’s friendship never did despite being miles and eventually states apart.

Ariel and the bride are also old college friends from Texas A&M University. With another friend Chelsi, we were the 3 amigos. Out of all of us, Ariel always was the voice of reason and clarity. She always gave Nicara the strength she needed to push through the hard times and to get back to reality. Nicara loves the fact that no matter what Ariel is one of the most loyal friends you could have in your corner. She never once let me down. Nicara always wanted to be more like her.

Krystle is one of the Bride’s other favorite cousin. She admires Krystle so much because she is smart, loving, and always goes after her purpose in life. Nicara hopes that her great attributes rub off on her. When the Bride grows up she hopes she can be more like her cousin as she inspires her every day without even knowing it.

The bride has known Octavia since they were little running around in Paw Paw (Grandpa’s) yard as she is of course ONE of her favorite cousins. Even though they live on opposite sides of the United States, she always hoped to remain close as family and friends.

The bride says to know Shequita is to love her. Nicara met Miss Geter in Atlanta through a mutual friend in 2012 and after a few short glances they have been friends ever since! She is always there to push you in the right direction and will be my last roommate 🙁. You better put some respect on her name aka Mama Quita!

The groom's only sister--and the second most beautiful woman in the world. Catrina will be the bride’s new sister when she marries into the Smith family. She has always been protective of the groom, and she is looking forward to relaxing a bit now that the bride is on the scene.

A very good friend of the groom. They met while working as engineers for an automotive supplier south of Atlanta. From hoops and workouts after work to motorcycle rides on the weekends, these two have maintained a powerful spiritual relationship that has been cultivated over the years.

Shawn is the Bride’s twin brother. Even though now miles apart from each other, they have always seem to connect and stay competing for the Best Twin Award. He has been a wonderful “Big” twin brother!He never failed to be there with advice when she needed it and when she didn’t. He may say them aloud, but I'm sure you'll find very eloquent words written by this guy all over the place. You may even find a few good ones regarding the groom somewhere. :-D

The groom's college bud. They met at Savannah State University while in the GA Tech Engineering program. Jon helped the groom remain focused on the mission.. and Mel helped Jon to remember how pleasant distractions could be. They almost got lured into becoming Navy Nuclear Officers, but we're so thankful they both instead transferred to Georgia Institute of Technology.
