Five years ago, Russ & Cara ended up at the same local bar the night before Thanksgiving. They had numerous mutual friends, but had never met each other. Ironically, Russ's Aunt Mickey tried to set them up a few years prior but it didn't work out. Cara taught Russ the importance of Thursday night margaritas, brunch and Amazon Prime. Russ taught Cara how to build a patio, change a tire and where to get the best BBQ brisket in Illinois. Cara learned the difference between a clutch and an oil pump. Russ discovered Cooper's Hawk. The list goes on and on. They've bought two houses together, traveled, attended Cubs games, concerts, and a LOT of weddings. They can often be found at La Mex, hanging with friends, and walking their German Shepherds, Bear & Winnie. Russ & Cara were married in a ceremony with immediate family only on November 7, 2020, and cannot wait to celebrate one year of marriage with all of their closest family and friends!
