Technically, we met at a bar. Brickstreet in Oxford, OH during our last fall as students at Miami University. However, this was not our first interaction. Michael had been close friends with one of my college housemates, Maggie, since they were in high school. Maggie and I were notorious prank callers and Michael had (luckily for him) been on the receiving end of a few 2 a.m. calls, so we were aware of each other before actually meeting. The evening we all ended up at Brickstreet, we awkwardly discovered I already had his number in my phone. We continued to hang out in a group of friends for a few weeks before our first official dinner date on October 29, 2010 at 45 Bar & Grill, after Michael was ironically 45 minutes late to pick me up. Despite his tardiness, which I have returned to him in plenty, we have been together ever since!
