Long Island Rail Road
If traveling by train from NYC, take the LIRR from NY Penn Station to Montauk Station. The train ride takes 3-4 hours and the ticket costs less than $25. Note that the train only travels to Montauk a few times per day during the summer season, so check train times ahead of your trip!

ISP airport is the closest to Montauk, but flights here can be less frequent and more expensive than those to NYC airports. If flying into ISP, rent a car, call an Uber, or hop on the LIRR or Jitney from here to Montauk.

JFK is the closest NYC airport to Montauk. If flying into JFK airport, you can rent a car, call an Uber, or take the Airtrain to Jamaica station and hop on the LIRR to make your way to Montauk!
