update

we love you all so very much!

As you know, 2020 has been a year of unknowns and unfortunates. A year that took us all by surprise, made us reevaluate and shift. And much like 2020, our wedding has caused us to do the same. With coronavirus cases at an all time high and the health of our loved ones at risk, we have decided it is not safe for us to move forward with our original wedding plans.  That being said, we do plan to elope on or near our originally planned date of February 6th 2021. First and foremost, we care about you so much. Our wedding day is something we wish every single person we know and love could attend, but this virus is not something we want any of you exposed to. Secondly, cancelling our wedding feels like the right solution to many of the uncertainties that lie with planning any gathering in this season of life. We encourage you to stay home, be safe, and wear a mask whenever you're around other people.  Please know this decision is sad for us, but one that we have made together in great peace. All of our love, Madison and Cara

How We Met

We're both writers, though neither of us would say that in a description about ourselves. We connected on the internet, writing stories together and exploring made up characters and worlds. It was, however, our shared love of the band HAIM that ultimately brought us together. When Cara made the 872 mile flight to Denver for a HAIM show at Red Rocks Amphitheater, everything changed. It was a weekend full of brewery hopping, eating the best cinnamon roll known to man (looking at you Denver Biscuit Company), and seeing our favorite band at one of the best venues in the US. HAIM did their encore just a few feet away from us and Lizzo opened up the show. It felt like a night we'd never forget. And we never did. A few weeks later, Madison bought a last minute ticket (literally 3 hours prior to the flight's scheduled take off) and flew to Memphis to see Cara. The rest is history. We spent the next year visiting each other in Memphis and Denver, celebrating holidays and birthdays together, and in June of 2019, Madison moved to Memphis after graduating with her Masters.

A few songs...

let us make you a playlist

Music is something that we have always seen eye to eye on. Kacey Musgraves, HAIM, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Lennon Stella, to name a few, have been integral in who we are as not only individuals, but as a couple. Please enjoy a little list of songs that, over the past two years, have felt indicative of our love. Golden Hour - Kacey Musgraves True Colors - Cyndi Lauper We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off - Jermaine Stewart Rhythm & Blues - The Head and the Heart Cut to the Feeling - Carly Rae Jepsen Honey - Kehlani On the Low - Tove Styrke Don't Get Me Wrong - Pretenders Dandelions - Ruth B. You & I - John Legend Little of Your Love - HAIM Mama Say - Betty Who Who Am I To You - Schuyler Fisk Love You Like That - Dagny One Call Away - Charlie Puth Til Kingdom Come - Coldplay I Feel Good About This - The Mowgli's Late to the Party - Kacey Musgraves I Really Like You - Carly Rae Jepsen Golf On TV - Lennon Stella
