Even though we had to postpone the big wedding celebration, we kept to our original wedding date, and on August 8, 2020, we got married in an intimate ceremony with our immediate families. We are looking forward to getting to recommit to our marriage in front of our family and friends and celebrate our one year anniversary with all of you.

It all began one Monday night in April 2011 when both Cara and JP decided to go out to watch the Blackhawks game. Both went out to one of the favorite U of I bars, Firehaus. JP caught Cara's eye, and soon after JP struck up a conversation with her. After many years together, JP proposed to Cara on Christmas Eve 2018. While surrounded by loved ones (both in person and via Facetime), JP got down on one knee while opening gifts. The rest of the night was a celebration of the upcoming nuptials, with a lot of champagne and dancing.
