Right after high-school, Cara worked at a frozen yogurt shop next door to a Dominos Pizza in Roanoke. Almost every day Cara was at work, she saw a cute Asian guy running pizza back and forth between Dominos and his car.. One fateful day, the cute Asian guy (you guessed it, Jon), stopped in "for yogurt" as an excuse to chat to the cute girl working at the shop. The two clicked immediately, bonding over the awesome hipster music Cara always played from her iPod Touch over the store speakers. From then on, Jon would come in after every shift to hang out with her, eat yogurt, and even help her clean the shop after close. After closing time, they would sit on the trunk of his Kia Rio and talk about life and music until midnight. FINALLY, after some friendly shaming from his friends at Dominos, Jon asked Cara out on a real date. On their first date they went to see The Amazing Spiderman. On the drive back, they scream-sang Mr. Brightside by the Killers with the windows down. Eight years later, they're still as goofy as ever, and their love is still going strong. They're just enjoying their lives together with their pup, Nutmeg.
It all started when Jon started raving about a pizza place he discovered. He suggested that they go there for lunch one Saturday, but go to a nearby park for a walk beforehand. Cara was very hungry and honestly pretty upset that she had to work for her food first. But then, halfway through the walk, Jon got down on one knee and pulled out the most beautiful ring. Cara squealed and said “hell yes!". After a moment of personal celebration, they walked back to the car and got pizza and drinks to celebrate! This reltionship started with Dominos Pizza in Roanoke, and started a new chapter at Pie Tap Pizza in Dallas.
