Flight

Denver International Airport

Welcome to DIA! During your landing into the airport, you may see a lot of Kansas flatland. Don't let that deter you and what Colorado has to offer! Perhaps you'll get lucky with a west facing window seat. Once you've landed you'll realize that DIA is HUGE and can be rather confusing to find your way around. There are 3 terminals your flight will take you to,: A, B, and C. If your airline takes you to A terminal, you have the option of taking the bridge or train to baggage claim. Terminals B & C you will need to take the train. Once you get to baggage claim it can be confusing to find the exit. Please read the overhead signs which point you to passenger pickup or shuttle pickup witch includes ride sharing. Important things to note: DIA is not very close to the Denver area. Depending on the time of day, it could take 30-60 minutes to get anywhere in Denver Proper. While leaving the airport, it feels as though it is quite literally in the middle of nowhere. Keep distance and time of day in mind when using a ride share app, this can effect the pricing.

Travel Note

Staying In Denver

The Grant-Humphries Mansion is in the Quality Hill Historic District of Denver, essentially inside the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Within this neighborhood there are two wonderful historic places to stay. One is the Patterson Inn, and the other is the Capitol Hill Mansion B&B. Just outside of Capitol Hill are a few hotels off of Broadway, which tends to be a busier main street. If you're looking to book an AirBnb or a Vrbo and remain close to the venue and explore Denver, we recommend you look into neighborhoods: Capitol Hill, Cheesman Park, Congress Park, Alamo Placita Cherry Creek, and Washington Park. When looking at places to stay, we advise you avoid anything off of Colfax. Unless you're interested in staying in the first and only carbon positive hotel in Denver the Populus. Perhaps you're looking to spend some time in the mountains and visit a national park while you're here! If you'd rather be in a halfway point to the mountains and Denver: Sloans Lake, Edgewater, Wheat Ridge and Golden are all lovely! These locations will take longer to get to and from the venue.
