Maid of Honor
What can I say. My little (taller) sister is one of the most amazing people I know. Watching her become the woman she is today has been such a joy for me. When we are together traveling the world, she makes sure I get out of my comfort zone. From waterfall chasing in Iceland to petting cows on top of a mountain in Switzerland. She is always up for an adventure and can plan a trip before I can say I'm in! She not only is the most beautiful woman inside and out but has a love of dogs and all other animals that is matched by no one else I know. She will go to the end of the world for a pup in need. If there is a dog around, you can be sure Sara is right there petting and making sure they are loved. I could not image getting married without her next to me.
Matron of Honor
Laura and I met in Jr. High when I moved to Dutchess County. Even though we have been friends since a young age it wasn't until we got out of High School when our friendship really blossomed. Not only have we lived together in tiny apartments, but we also work together. " You can't work with friends" is a comment we prove wrong on a daily basis. Laura is not only "my person" but the person that most of the time knows me better then I know myself. We are the Monica and Rachel, the Meredith and Christina and the Thelma and Louise. If it weren't for Laura knowing me better then anyone else Dave and I would never have met! We have been planning this day behind the scenes ready to put our plan in action at a moments notice.
Best Man
I have known Mike for probably 20 years. I actually saved the man's life, and he couldn't even spend $2 on a Thankyou card. I guess I can finally let it go since he is the reason Cara and I met. Between the snowmobile trips, Americade escapes, cave diving in Mexico to the long weekend boat trips (when we actually leave the dock) we have had some good times. He is the type of friend that will give you the shirt off his back and not even think twice. In all honesty it's a good feeling to know he not only has my back, but Cara's too and will always check in with her when he knows I'm working to make sure she doesn't need anything. Hopefully he is a better at being a Best Man then he is at docking the boat.
Groomsman
Being my younger brother, we have gone through both good and bad times. At the end of the day he was always there for me. You can usually find us either working on cars and motorcycles or talking politics. No matter the topic we are always on the same page. Good luck trying to win a debate! Over the years I have been able to watch Matt grow into the amazing dad to Jayden that he is today. It's nice to know that if I need anything he will be there for me. Maybe cursing, but he will be there.
Bridesmaid
Val and I met in Jr. High in chorus. We quickly became sisters after that. It is thanks to Val that I have an undying love of the Yankees and *N SYNC. Our shared love of cats, sports and music have found ourselves in some grand adventures. Val is the hardest working person I know. I may be biased but she is my favorite DJ on the radio. I love turning the radio on and hearing my bestie. It was a proud moment for me watching her introduce Bush at one of our concert escapades that I teared up. Dave learned early on that it was a package deal with us. The Cara and Val adventures will never stop.
Bridesmaid
Jolene is Dave's cousin. When Dave and I first started dating it was told to me very quickly that I had to meet Jolene. After hearing how close the two of them were I was a little nervous to meet her. Once we did, I quickly saw the special bond these two share. Jolene did not hesitate in taking me in and treated me as one of them from the beginning. She is always busy getting the family get togethers planned. The 3 of us share a birthday month along with a few other special people and Jolene makes sure every year we celebrate it fully. Not only have I been waiting for this day my whole life, but I know without a doubt she has as well. I cannot wait to officially gain this amazing woman as my cousin.
Groomsman
Fuzz lived down the street growing up, but apparently that wasn't close enough for him, so he bought the house next door ruining the neighborhood. Fuzz and Sharon were with me the night I met Cara. The 4 of us quickly became close. Spending Football Sundays together, arguing on the games. Random camping trips, making sure to teach the girls how to properly execute wood knocks to attract Big Foot. Hes out there. Bon fires in the middle of my tire tracks in Fuzz's yard. You know you have a good friend when you greet each other with offensive nonsense all while trying not to laugh at each other.
Groomsman
Tony is Cara's younger brother. He has been our go to for pretty much anything we need. Helping with home projects to making sure Coors (and the previous cats) are well taken care of when we go on vacation. He is the type of brother that is there before you even ask him to come. Its always a fun time listening to Tony tease Cara when he is over. I just laugh because it usually the same thigs i'm teasing her about too. Good to know we have the same outlook. The cat does not need his own sofa. The tan paint in the living room looks the same as the kitchen. I'm excited to be gaining another brother, one who can maybe teach me a thing or too. Maybe some Poker tips?
Officiant
Eric has been around as long as I can remember. Somehow falling victim to marrying my cousin Jolene, and therefore sealing his fate with our family. As the owner of his own landscaping business, he is a man of many skills. Including but not limited to officiating a wedding. Seeing how he has been a part of the family for so many years, it just seemed right to have him be part of our special day. At least someone will know what he's doing up there.
