Some of our favorite places to visit within 1 hour of Hood River!

A must-visit along I-84! Would be a great place to stop coming into Hood River from the Portland airport. Bridal Veil Falls is also in this area and a short but beautiful hike to the falls!

Multnomah Falls

Historic ski lodge where some scenes of The Shining were shot. In the summer, there are many hiking trails in this area and you can enjoy drinks on the porch overlooking Mt. Hood.

Timberline Lodge

Tons of hikes in this area, would especially recommend Lost Lake Loop, Little Zigzag Falls, Umbrella Falls, Mirror Lake Loop, Little Crater Lake (pictured), and Angel's Rest.
