We matched on a dating app during a pandemic. Some might say that 'we found love in a hopeless place'. Then one day after a long work week, we met for beers and queso at a funky little brewpub in the heart of East Austin, Lazarus Brewing. Luke brought his wingman and handsome pup Hank & Cara brought Maiz, we laughed about our crazy lives in tech, swapped bucket list travel destinations, and the rest is history.

Almost a year after we met, we headed to Lake Austin for a long birthday weekend. After a comedy of errors and true test of our teamwork--forgetting the champagne, jumping the truck, melting a dinner container in the oven--it was an unforgettable weekend. On the dock, Luke handed Cara a surprise birthday present--a commissioned piece of art of their proposal, which as you can guess happened next.
