Cara and Leo first met in high school through mutual friends. Leo liked Cara right away and eventually won her over with corgi pictures and countless Wawa runs. Their relationship was the epitome of young love—school dances, football games, and spotting each other lunch money when one of them came up short. They spent their college years apart—Cara at Temple, Leo at Penn State—but distance never rattled them. It was challenging, but it made every moment together feel even more special. Those years taught them a lot—not just about each other, but about themselves. They each leaned into the things that made them feel excited for their own futures, and in doing so, built full, happy lives that made their time together even sweeter. It wasn’t always easy, but staying in love with each other was. And that made all the difference. One of their favorite memories from those years was when Leo visited Cara while she was studying abroad in Rome. They took a weekend trip to the Cinque Terre, sparking a shared love for Italian culture—and possibly inspiring the name of their future fur baby, Gnocchi. Leo planned the proposal under the guise of celebrating the creation of Cara's company - CaraBella Events. After dinner, they took Gnocchi on their usual walk through the park they frequent for coffee dates. There, Leo popped the question, and Cara's first words were “Are we allowed?”—as if she were still that 16-year-old girl falling in love with her high school sweetheart. With nearly a decade of love behind them, they’re looking ahead to a lifetime of it—filled with slow mornings, loud game days, spontaneous adventures, and the kind of quiet joy that comes from building a life side by side.
