Where can I park?

Answer

Coming on on 32nd street when you take a left you may park along the left (south) side of the road. Parking will be directed at the venue as well.

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place on the lawn at Harbor View Events. The address is 2225 S. Shore Dr Macatawa, MI. The reception will be held at the boatshed party barn, an outdoor covered area to abide by government regulations related to COVID. The address is Building #3, Eldean Shipyard, 2150 South Shore Drive, Macatawa, MI 49434. Please refer to the image in the schedule section for further details (ceremony circled in blue and outdoor reception area circled in red).

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors and based on current gathering regulations the reception will be held at an outdoor covered area. In case of rain, the ceremony will be at reception site.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list due to restrictions related to COVID and government regulations. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

We will be serving appetizers during the cocktail hour followed by a family style dinner. Please alert the bride or groom of any allergies. Alcohol and soft drinks will also be served during the cocktail hour and reception.

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided. Uber may be available; however, is not reliable in Macatawa. Other transportation services in the area including Blueberry taxi (616-796-0600), Rosebud transportation services (616-848-7588), and Metro cab (616-827-6500). However due to COVID leading to limited availability you may want to contact them and set up a ride prior.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Our ceremony will be unplugged, meaning no photos, sorry! But we encourage guests to take and post pictures from the reception on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #capuassetsail so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

Answer

Any day up to the wedding feel free to contact the bride or groom with any questions. However on the wedding day you may contact the best man Paul at (219) 743-0676 with any urgent questions!

What if I’m not feeling well or have been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID?

Answer

Please stay home! Also please let us know as soon as possible if this occurs so we can plan accordingly.

Will masks be worn?

Answer

At this time the state of Michigan has mandated masks. When you are seated at your table you may take your mask off. Masks will be provided if you forgot yours! Hand sanitizer will be provided at all tables. Please wear your mask at the guest sign in table, at the bar, and to the bathroom.
