Question

What precautions are you taking against COVID-19?

Answer

As per New Zealand's traffic light system, at Red our wedding will require Vaccine Passes to go ahead. All guests and vendors are expected to be able to present their passes upon request. Both our ceremony and our reception are being held outdoors. This is a small wedding. Attendee numbers will not be exceeding 30. Guests are encouraged to wear face masks if they so desire, but these will not be compulsory.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is set to begin at 11:30 in the morning. Please try and arrive at Rivendell by 11:15am at the latest. Please bear in mind that driving even from central Upper Hutt to Rivendell can take a deceptively long time. Please consult with Google Maps the night before. THERE ARE CURRENTLY ROADWORKS ON SH2 JUST BEFORE THE KAITOKE REGIONAL PARK TURN-OFF. THIS COULD ADD UP TO 5 MINUTES TO TRAVEL TIME.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We don't expect people to be in tuxes and ball gowns. In fact, if you showed up in that, you'd look smarter than us! We do expect this event, particularly the ceremony, to be a semi-formal occasion though. Please wear cocktail dresses, or light summery dresses, semi-formal suits, or dark jackets and slacks. Be aware that both the ceremony and reception will take place on grass, where the ground may be soft. We do not reccomend wearing heels.

Can I bring my partner or a friend?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. If it does not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking at Rivendell may be tight. It is a tourist attraction and the beginning of a number of hiking trails. Please try and carpool with other guests as much as you can. Please ask Adam or Caprice if you are unsure who else is attending that you could carpool with. Parking at the reception should be fine. It is a wide street with parking allowed on both sides. Please do not block any driveways.

I see that the reception ends at 5:30pm. Will I be getting dinner?

Answer

We will be providing guests with food at: - Cocktail Hour (snacks and finger foods) - Lunch (Grazing table) - Dessert (Cake and other sweet treats) Guests are expected to find their own dinner elsewhere upon departing reception :)

I can no longer attend, but I RSVP'ed yes. What do I do?

Answer

If you can no longer attend due to illness or any other reason, please let Adam or Caprice know as soon as you can. We would prefer to know by Thursday rather than at the last minute on Friday. Thank you.

Can I wear jeans?

Answer

No jeans!!! Caprice loves jeans and even she isn't wearing any to this occasion!

Are children welcome?

Answer

If your children are listed on your invitation, then yes! If not, then we would prefer they get a day off from their parents and you get a day off from your kids :)

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Unless stated by Adam or Caprice to specific individuals, all RSVPs were expected back by 31st January 2022. Late RSVPs will only be accepted at our discretion. Thank you for your understanding.
