It was the Spring of 2014, Cappy had already been at State Street for almost two years. He knew his role, his work, and how to use the printing machines. On one particular day, this would become extremely important in his life. Natalie was in the middle of her internship as a fund administrator that began in January. Somehow, she had not learned how to use the scanning feature on the printer all these months. She was struggling to work with the machine. Unbeknownst to Natalie, Cappy had helped lots of employees with this when they first started at State Street. This scanning episode was Cappy’s prime opportunity to save her...and introduce himself to her. After completing the scanning project, Cappy managed to get Natalie’s phone number. He was pretty smitten with this Vietnamese girl, that he started to bring her coffees in the morning. A few days into this routine, Cappy and Natalie finally had lunch at Wagamama. During lunch, Cappy showed his driver license to Natalie who couldn’t get over his long hair. A couple of weeks later, Cappy and Natalie went for after work margaritas at Mija. At this time, Natalie shared that she had a boyfriend. That nipped whatever was growing in the butt. That was the worst Taco Tuesday. After two more months, Natalie’s internship ended and so did their friendship for the time. It would be two years later in 2016, when Natalie would text a birthday greeting as a single woman and the two rekindled their relationship, this time as a couple and not as colleagues. They went on their first date in the North End, in which Cappy was sitting in the restaurant not sure she would show up but soon learned directions and timing wasn't Natalies strong point. Since then, they have travelled to many parts of the world, gone through multiple job transitions, and created a home together with their furbabies in Medford - but they’re truly city folk. Now they can’t wait to share all that their love has created with everyone they love.
