Amy and Brian knew of each other back in 2008 during AIT (military job training), through mutual friends. Coincidentally, they both ended up getting stationed at Fort Benning, GA. They officially met through another set of mutual friends on a trip to Panana City, FL in 2010. During this trip, Amy and Brian just so happened to sit next to one another at dinner where they discussed their love of seafood, and even shared an oyster platter. This was the beginning of their “friendship”. Months later, Brian asked Amy out on a date.....several times after repeated no’s, until she finally said, YES!. A few months after their first date, Brian asked Amy to be his girlfriend. This time she said YES the first time he asked. The rest is history
Brian proposed to Amy on January 16, 2012 through Skype during his deployment to Afganistan. How romantic!! Brian then visited Amy during his deployment in Fort Lauderdale, FL where they eloped on March 9, 2012. Immediately after (2 hours later to be exact), they went on a cruise to the Bahamas. After the honeymoon, Brian unfortunately had to return to Afganistan. A few months later, Brian returned home from his deployment and they began their life together in Colorado. Over the years, they traveled, explored and went on a whole lot of camping trips. On July 11, 2014 they welcomed their first child Janaya Capehart. On October 3, 2019 they welcomed their second child Jaylin Capehart. Over the years, they have over came a lot of ups and downs. For their 10 year anniversary, they would love to celebrate it with you.
