Amelia Capaz

Matron of Honor

I’m Amelia, Amanda‘s little cousin, although she’s always felt more like a sister to me. We’ve been a package deal in our family since I was born (Chiquitin & Miquitin) kind of like the sun & moon, yin or yang—I can be a cynic, but she keeps me optimistic. She’s been my lifelong confidant and bestie, my 4Loko plug in high school, and she may or may not have been my ride home from Central Bookings (can’t confirm). Needless to say, she’s always had my back and made me feel loved. Who would’ve thought we’d both be married moms someday! Amanda’s got the biggest heart, and she deserves the world and more. Im so glad a love like the one she’s got has found her, and I can’t wait for this next chapter!

Nicole Pimentel Luss

Maid of Honor

Hi I’m Nicole, Amanda’s sister. Known her since the womb. Known Alex since ‘02.

Deanna Shanerman

Bridesmaid

My name is Deanna DeCongelio, and I’ve had the pleasure of being one of Amanda’s best friends since 2015. I will never forget the day I met this MIAMI GIRL (AYEE)! She was setting up her classroom across the hallway from me, and my mom gave her the only food I had packed for myself that day. Since that moment, we’ve been inseparable! Amanda’s kind heart and vibrant personality are what make her so special to me. I am truly lucky to call her one of my best friends and a sister for life. Not only did she bless me with my niece and goddaughter, Xochi, but she also brought Mr. Alejandro Patiño into my life. From the moment I met Alex, I knew he was the one for Amanda. I am so lucky to have been there from the start—to watch them grow as a couple, go on adventures, and create a beautiful family. Cheers to our bride and groom! Love you both endlessly!

Tania Johmann

Bridesmaid

Nine years ago, I had the privilege of meeting Amanda when she was a second-grade teacher and I was a first-grade teacher. From the very start, we formed an instant connection-one that has only grown stronger over the years. Amanda has a warmth about her that draws people in. She has this rare gift of making everyone around her feel comfortable, valued, and loved. She is not only fun and funny, but also incredibly kind, intelligent, and full of life. She radiates positivity, lifts others up, and has a way of turning even the most ordinary moments into the most memorable ones. Whether it was sharing laughter in the classroom, venting about the little things over coffee, or celebrating life’s milestones together, she has been a constant light in my life. I feel so blessed that our paths crossed all those years ago because, without a doubt, my life is brighter because of her. While I selfishly wish she had never moved back to Florida, I know it led her exactly where she was meant to be...rekindling her love with Alex and building a beautiful life together. Seeing her so happy, with her precious Xochi and an upcoming wedding, fills my heart with so much joy. I could not be happier for them! Amanda and Alex, you are a beautiful couple, and your love story is truly special. I am beyond excited to stand beside you as you begin this incredible new chapter together. Wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness!

Xochilt Morales

Bridesmaid

Hi, I’m Xochilt, one of Amanda’s besties! I am also the reason Xochi, has her unique name! Amanda and I met 10 yrs ago quickly turning into work besties, and ultimately becoming someone who holds my heart! If you are around us you quickly realize how close we are because there isn’t a moment one of us isn’t making the other laugh! I remember her sharing she’d reconnected with an ex, never thinking it would get serious! It was Alex’s second trip to NJ that we got to meet him. That night I got the feeling this was going to last because again, the laughter happened but now he was part of it. I quickly saw he complimented her and her personality which in turn she’d fall for him, again; being more mature and hard enough to want to move back home. Something I’m still heart broken about but I know her happiness is worth it. Fast forward to now, our friendship still holds the special laughter power and it reminds me that no matter the time/distance she is truly a forever friend. We get together, our kids call each other cousins and we cry at every goodbye we have to share. Being part of this bridal party is an honor but also another core memory for the books with my bestie! I am excited to see Amanda and Alex get married and be part of her dream come true.

Meryl Quezada

Bridesmaid

I’ve known Amanda since our college days. We took dance classes together and decided we were going to be friends because we both loved to dance and party! We went out all the time to clubs and hung out almost very Friday night at her house. When she moved back to Miami from NJ, she talked about how she was seeing someone she had dated back in her teen years. After hearing much about Alex, I finally met him while he was planting flowers in their new home.

Karina Aguilar

Bridesmaid

It was a summer afternoon when I first met Amanda. The kind of afternoon where the air holds just a little too much moisture, I remember she walked into our mutual friend’s house, not expecting much beyond a casual hangout. But then I saw her—saying hi to our friends, and laughing with a group of people. It wasn’t just her laughter that drew me in, but the energy she gave off. There was something magnetic about her, something I couldn’t quite place but immediately felt connected to. At that moment, I didn’t know that she would change my life in ways I never could have imagined. But as soon as we spoke, it was as if the universe had nudged me, saying, “This is someone important.” A week later our partners forced us to hang out, That night, initially the conversation was flowing easily, like we’d known each other for years. It had been a long week for both of us and to be quite frank; Fridays are not our days. We are tired, and we can literally sit comfortably in each other’s silence for hours. It was as if the world had faded away, and there was just us. As our friendship grew, and she entered different phases of her life, so did the bond between us. Our connection wasn’t only built on shared laughs and inside jokes, but also on vulnerability. She helped me see womanhood through a different lens—one that wasn’t shaped by the pressures of society but by the strength of resilience, the beauty of self-love, and the importance of community.

Daniela Casanova

Bridesmaid

I met Amanda and Alex through my husband, who is Alex’s best friend. He randomly planned a BBQ so they could meet me and give their “official” input luckily, I passed! That day, Amanda and I instantly bonded over having birthdays just one day apart, and she has been one of my closest friends ever since. I truly can’t thank my husband enough for bringing her into my life. Now, we proudly make up the Antisocial Wives Club of Palmetto Bay with Karina. Amanda is “Tía Manda” to my daughter, Luna, and Alex is her godfather, which shows just how much they mean to me and my family. I’m so excited to be part of their big day and celebrate their love.

Marco Casanova

Best Man

I’ve known Alex since first grade, back when we played soccer together—though let’s be honest, I was clearly the better player back then (and yes, much skinnier too). That seems like an eternity ago, probably because Alex even had a full set of hair!! Most weekends, I practically lived at his house, doing my best to survive whatever wild scheme he had cooked up. Whether we were jumping off bridges, fishing, egging houses or sneaking to meet with girls, every hangout was a new adventure—or potential ER visit. As for Amanda, I met her when she started dating Alex (the first time, of course). While there may have been sporadic flings and guest appearances from time to time, it was always evident that she was the one. The icing on the cake was this one day—one unforgettable day—when Amanda saved my life with a glass of orange juice. There’s no need for the specifics, but I’ll just say it’s a story best kept for another time (and possibly an entirely different website). From those childhood memories to now living as neighbors and raising our daughters side by side, it's been an incredible journey. I couldn’t be happier to see these two starting this next chapter together. They’re the perfect match—a mimosa, if you will: one brings the energy, the other brings the OJ!

Groomsman

I’m Andres, Alex’s Godson and nephew. We’ve known each other since I was a Shrimp. Later down the road he introduced me to Amanda, who now carries the next shrimp generation. May your marriage be loving and filled with adventure.

Richard Kondla

Groomsman

I met Alex in 6th grade during wood shop class, and let’s just say, I wasn’t exactly the nicest classmate. I used to mess with him daily—like taking his projects and chopping them in half with the bandsaw as soon as he’d finish. One time, I even drilled his backpack to the table. Somehow, despite all that, we’re still friends to this day. Since then, we’ve racked up countless memories and experiences together.

Ruben Aguilar

Groomsman

I met my friend Alex back in 6th grade, and from the moment we started hanging out, we were inseparable. Nearly every weekend, we’d get into all kinds of wild adventures. We weren’t your typical kids—we were always pushing the limit. Whether it was catching water moccasins in the canal (yeah, we were that crazy) or climbing the tallest trees we could find just to leap into the water below, we lived for the thrill. Our friendship was built on that kind of energy—fearless, loyal, and full of unforgettable memories. Fast forward to the summer between 8th and 9th grade, That’s when Alex met Amanda. I knew he really liked her from the beginning because he straight up told me. He was hooked from day one. It wasn’t long before I got to meet her, too. We ended up having a class together in 9th grade Amanda had this cool, confident energy (It’s a Gemini thing 😎) and she just seemed like a great fit for him. I always thought she was perfect for Alex, and even though we were all still young, it just felt right seeing them together.

Milton Martinez

Groomsman

I met Alex the summer before high school. Through the years we grew to have a brotherly bond and have shared so many good times. I met Amanda in middle school. I remember seeing their natural connection in high school and it has been such a beautiful thing to see them rekindle that love. I want to wish them a marriage full of happiness and love. May God bless you guys!

Christian Gornail

Groomsman

I’ve known Alex for as long as I can remember. We grew up as next door neighbors, but we’ve always been more like brothers than friends. He introduced himself to my family by peeing in our backyard as a three year old while shouting his name and address. Our houses basically had an open door policy, Whoever woke up first would unlock the back door because we knew Alex would be strolling in right after he rolled out of bed. He’s the kind of friend you couldn’t get rid of if you tried (trust me, I’ve tried). Whether it’s a party or a rough patch, I know Alex will be there. I wouldn’t ever tell him this, but I’m beyond grateful for his friendship and all the memories we’ve shared over the years. I couldn’t be more excited to stand by him and celebrate his big day with Amanda. They’re a perfect match and have built a beautiful family together. Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness!
