We're getting married!

Let's take it back to the fall of 2013. I had just transferred to UCF the previous semester and was asked to coach Sigma Pi's Zeta Lip Sync - for those of you "non-UCFers", that would be teaching the pledges to dance and raise money for a charity. Insert Joey, a freshman at UCF, who happened to stumble into my path that first month of fall semester. From that moment, we were really just acquaintances; consistently running into each other at date functions, catching up, and saying see you soon. Fast forward to the fall of 2015, we both happen to be at the infamous Knight's Pub on Ladies Night and might have had one too many to drink, BUT those couple drinks turned into a long conversation in the corner of the bar alone. Joey proceeded to make sure I got home okay and then continued to ghost me the rest of the week (playing hard to get we see here). The weekend arrived and we ended up hanging out to see where things would go. I will never forget attempting to sneak out of my house since I didn't want to tell my roommates to get their hopes up (LOL). I went over there with no idea of his intentions, but left with a goodnight kiss. Fast forward one last time to February 20, 2021. Joey and I have spent the last 5 years next to each other's side for every single moment - from graduations, new jobs, living in new cities, and new dogs, we've done it all. I am so thankful for everything that led us to this day and this new chapter in our lives. We are so thankful for the people around us; the people who have supported us and loved us through it all. We cannot wait to celebrate with you on April 29, 2022. We love you!
