Whether you’re looking to take a simple stroll or are interested in a more challenging outing, Chittenden offers a vast amount of trails for you to choose from. Take a tour around the lake on kayaks, canoes and paddleboards. From the center of the lake, are beautiful views of Pico Ski Mountain. Use of these boats is included in your overnight stay and available on a first-come, first-serve basis, from 9AM to 5pm (weather permitting). Life jackets are required and provided (Jackets can be found in the beach shed). While the beach remains accessible through dusk, boating equipment is secured each evening for guest safety.
Access to Mountain Top Inn's beach is included in your overnight stay on the resort. A lovely walk of less than ¾ mile, down a private lane from the main lodge, the beach is situated on a quiet cove within a 740 acre lake. Enjoy boating, swim or simply relax on lounge chairs. Towels and a picnic menu are available at the front desk :)
Enjoy the newly designed 9-hole disc golf course which takes advantage of the open meadow space, adjacent woods, spectacular views and finishes just a few steps from the Mountain Top Tavern and terrace. Discs can be borrowed from the front desk, and discs and greens fees are included in your overnight stay. First come, first serve :)
Lessons are offered daily by staff (weather permitting). For safety reasons, there is a maximum allotment of six people per time slot. The minimum age to participate is 15 years old and reservations are required. Activity is open to the public. $40 per person for 20 shots with instruction. Each additional shot is $2.
Chittenden county has several challenging yet fun courses in the area or surrounding. Including: Rutland Country Club, Green Mountain National Golf Course, Killington Golf Course and Neshobe Golf Club (all of which are accessible to the public).

Historic Downtown Rutland is the heart of Rutland County. Located just 15-20 minutes from the resort, this adorable city is lined with dozens of shops and restaurants, as well as a world-class performing arts venue.
The outdoor swimming pool, which can be found adjacent to the spa and event barn, offers amazing views. The pool-side hot tub is also open year-round.
The Equestrian Center offers a full program open to experienced riders or those new to the saddle. Enjoy a horseback ride along various trails among the Green Mountains.
