Selena decided in the summer of 2015 to get a new job at Spirit Halloween as an Assistant Manager at Hillsdale Mall. Her boss made her help out at the San Bruno location where Ivan was hired as an Assistant Manager too. Selena's boss transferred her and made her the Store Manager (Ivan's boss). Where they became best friends, started hanging out a lot, then fell in love. There was no formal "asking out" even though Ivan asked multiple times...Selena kept saying no ;) Now here we are!

We both had been talking about marriage for a long time. Since we became a couple :) Since Selena was too nosy and would find out anyway...and Covid-19 happened and then life got in the way. We decided to just take the leap and head to Shane Co. we went in without any expectations and said we would, "just look." We ended up designing a ring together and picking the elements together and that fit us perfectly!
