Ryan and Kathryn met at Housatonic Valley CrossFit in Shelton, CT. Despite the fact that they both grew up in Trumbull, CT, and lived about five minutes away from each other, their paths never crossed. Ryan first started flirting with Kathryn at a summer BBQ hosted by one of the CrossFit members, but as Kathryn was still in school in Puerto Rico at the time, the story was paused here. It took almost a year after Kathryn returned from Puerto Rico for Ryan to officially ask Kathryn to be his girlfriend. From here, their story consisted of daily CrossFit dates, snuggle sessions with their dachshund, Henley, trips to London, Bermuda, OBX, Cape Cod, Block Island, Boston, and eventually moving-in together in Norwalk, CT. Kathryn and Ryan share a love of CrossFit, dachshunds, movies, Bravo TV, traveling, mozzarella sticks, and whatever adventure Kathryn makes Ryan do. After almost 4 years of dating, Ryan figured it was time to take their relationship to the next level and decided to propose to Kathryn. Despite the pandemic quarantine that started soon after the ring arrived, Ryan still moved forward with the proposal. Ryan proposed to Kathryn in their home after preparing a beautiful dinner of deep dish pizza (Kathryn’s favorite pizza) and Mr Frosty’s ice cream ( PB Mocha and Toaster S’moreos in a waffle cone). When deciding where to get married, Kathryn and Ryan both wanted to have a small, destination wedding where their closest family and friends could enjoy a day at the beach in the warm sunshine. Kathryn had vacationed in Aruba several times and thought it would be the perfect place to tie the knot. From there, the rest is history! We look forward to sharing this important day with all of our loved ones!
