We first met at Chi Alpha ( a Christian College ministry) at Murray State University. We interacted on a regular basis with casual conversations and instantly hit it off because of our calm demeanor and realization that we grew up around the same neck of the woods. College came and went but friendship stayed the same. Little did we know things were going to change in our friendship down the road. After college we both continued living in the Murray area and had a small group of friends that would hangout pretty regularly. At one point we both decided to volunteer our time to serve in college ministry to be a blessing. Which ultimately continued building on our friendship and allowed us to get to know each other better. Fast forward 2 years, unannounced to Cannon, but I was praying for an opportunity to go on a date. One day Cannon and I had gone together to see a friend preform in a play. After the play we still wanted to hangout so we decided to go for a walk at the Arboreatum. We walked for about an hour, hour and a half then Cannon asked me if I wanted to go on a coffee date. To which I responded with an eager yes! A couple more dates were to follow before we officially called each other boyfriend \ girlfriend. Ten months later Cannon schemed with our friend Tyler (whom is a videographer) to capture the moment where Cannon popped the question at Himitite Lake at Land between the Lakes. I was surprised! When Cannon and I arrived at Himitite Lake Tyler was already there and said he was recording some new footage and asked Cannon and I if we could help him try out a few poses. (Mb all innocent and with no clue, said sure anything to help a friend). Needless to say Tyler had me convinced and was able to capture our engagement video without me even realizing. Tyler and Cannon did well, usually I can figure stuff out. Lol Cannon and I are so thankful for our loving Father God who has had great plans from the beginning. We are excited to embark on this journey together as God continues to lead us and give us opportunity to bless others. We are delighted to get to celebrate with our family and friends July 22nd!!
